Pax Romana and the Roman Empire both started in 27 B.C. Pax Romana, or Roman Peace, was a time when many technological advancements were made. Aqueducts, Concrete, and the Pantheon were all designed during Pax Romana. Concrete greatly enhanced Roman Architecture and Aqueducts carried water to the Roman people. However, Pax Romana did not last forever. Commodus became emperor in 180 A.D and his poor ruling lead to the decline of Rome and the end of Pax Romana. Commodus thought that he was the reincarnation of Heracles and thus had a big ego. He even changed his name to Heracles and wore a lion's hide around down.
