Crassus was part of the first triumvirate with Julius Caesar and Pompey and they challenged the power of the senate. Crassus was considered one of the wealthiest man in Rome. In fact he is often considered the most wealthiest man in Rome. He got and spent money through slaves as well as multiple buildings. His money also bought him an army, with him as commander. This allowed him to stops the Spartacus slave revolt. After this he joined Caesar and Pompey in the First Triumvirate he was killed.
